Lately I have been getting a lot of questions from people finding feathers and asking if they have a significant meaning?
For me personally, feathers are like an angel’s calling card that they leave for me. Feathers are a reminder and a comforting confirmation that the angels are listening to me regarding a question or situation I was asking them for help with. Even though feathers come in all different sizes and colors, they’re amazing signs because they’re directly connected with a thought, prayer, or question that you had in mind. Next time you find a feather, stop and become aware of what you were just thinking. Rarely will you find one left by the angels without knowing what it means. Either you’ll come across it while thinking about something or you’ll immediately sense the association upon finding it.
The following is a sad but beautiful story from my friend Karen about how feathers can be validation.
I had to put my beloved dog Moose down yesterday. While we were waiting at the Humane Society for the paperwork to be processed, I squatted down to pet my baby and tell him I love him. There was a feather, inside, by my feet. It made me cry. Then another one when we got home and were taking care of his personal possessions (squeaky toy, bed, etc.), and I told my husband about the feathers. A little bit later, I was cleaning the kitchen and my husband was outside and knocked on the window and showed me a feather. This one was black, and he was a Black Lab. Deep sigh. I know it was the right thing to do, but kind of fun to “see” confirmation in that way!
The angels also leave us feathers in unusual places as a sign of their presence, probably because most people associate feathers with angel wings. As you will see in this next story from my sweet friend Emma, who collects feathers.
I was just reading on your website about angel signs. You said that feathers are a sign. I collect feathers by the way. Anyway, I told my Mom this because today we saw a feather that was standing upward in the rocks. I pointed it out, and we thought it was weird. Then, later, there was the biggest, prettiest feather I have ever seen in the middle of my hallway that my Mom found, and thought that it was mine, so she put it on the dresser. I asked her where that came from, and she said that she just found it in the hallway. What do you think?
Yes, Emma I do think it was from an angel. Please feel free to share your angel feathers stories. I would love to hear all about them.
