Today I will be discussing the third law of The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success which is The Law of “Karma” or Cause and Effect.
“Every action generates a force of energy that returns to us in like kind… what we sow is what we reap. And when we choose actions that bring happiness and success to others, the fruit of our karma is happiness and success.” ~ Deepak Chopra
Applying the Law of “Karma” or Cause and Effect
I will put the Law of Karma into effect by making a commitment to take the following steps:
1. Today I witness the choices I make in each moment. And in the mere witnessing of these choices, I will bring them to my conscious awareness. I will know that the best way to prepare for any moment in the future is to be fully conscious in the present.
2. Whenever I make a choice, I will ask myself two questions: “What are the consequences of this choice that I’m making?” and “Will this choice brings fulfillment and happiness to me and also to those who are affected by this choice?”
3. I will then ask my heart for guidance and be guided by its message of comfort or discomfort. If the choice feels comfortable, I will plunge ahead with abandon. If the choice feels uncomfortable, I will pause and see the consequences of my action with my inner vision. This guidance will enable me to make spontaneous correct choices for myself and for all those around me.
The following story is a life lesson in the Law of Karma. Several years ago I had let’s say an interesting acquaintance who “creatively” allowed himself in a house that was in foreclosure and helped himself to some things that did not belong to him. This person was bragging about what he had done and I thought to myself karma is going to bite him in the behind! It wasn’t even a week later that my prediction was correct. You see this same person was doing some work on a rental home and he left all his tools in the empty house overnight. When he returned the next day to finish up his work, someone (AKA: Karma Fairy) had creatively let themselves in and stole all of his tools! I personally like simplicity. My thought on karma is: “Whatever you put out into the Universe always comes back to you.” It is really that simple. Do unto others as you wish to be done unto you.
The whole point of Karma is to teach us things we need to learn about. There are those who believe that karma is what makes up our personalities, our wisdom, and our likes and dislikes of things that we experience in our present life. There are also those who believe that what we’ve done in our past lives influences where we are and what we do in our current lives. Whether you believe this is not the point. Hundreds of millions of people do.
Tomorrow I will be talking about the 4th Spiritual Law of Success which is the “Law of Least Effort.” Until then create some good Karma!
Many Blessings, ♥ Debbie 🙂
